We believe leather is the most sustainable of all fashion materials. A single leather bag used for 25 years has a far lower per-year environmental footprint than replacing cheap synthetics every few years. The popular "vegan leather" alternative is largely PU plastic — petroleum-derived and non-biodegradable. Full-grain leather from responsible tanneries is a byproduct of the food industry and biodegrades at end of life.
Buying less, but better, is the more sustainable choice.
Every TICH bag is made from 100% full-grain leather — no bonded leather, no PU. Our parent company Leatherage has been one of India's pioneering leather goods exporters since the 1970s. You're getting decades of expertise in every bag.
Yes, we do provide repair services, depending on the damage. Please get in touch along with photos of the product to be repaired and we will be happy to help you.
Leather is low-maintenance — here's all you need to do:
Wipe off dust and dirt with a soft dry cloth
For stains, use a damp cloth and let it dry naturally away from direct sunlight or heat
Condition every 3–6 months with a leather conditioner
Store in a dust bag when not in use, stuffed lightly to keep its shape
Avoid prolonged exposure to rain — if it gets wet, dry at room temperature
Yes — and that's the beauty of real leather. Over time your bag develops a patina, a natural darkening and softening that makes it uniquely yours. This is especially lovely in our lighter shades like Caramel. Think of it less as wear and more as the bag growing with you.
Leather requires occasional conditioning (every 3–6 months), doesn't like prolonged soaking, and costs more upfront. It's a considered purchase — not impulse-buy material. But for someone who wants one great bag rather than many mediocre ones, the trade-off is absolutely worth it.
